JAIST 3rd Research Symposium

On Saturday, September 9, 2006, our 3rd research symposium was held in the Kanbai-kan at Doshisha University under the theme of “Changes in the Security Environment in Asia and Export Controls”. The previous two research symposiums had been held in Tokyo, but this symposium was held in the Kansai region in keeping with our goal of having one symposium a year take place in a city other than Tokyo. The program of the symposium is as shown below. With over 70 participants we are proud to say that the symposium concluded successfully. We would also like to help to promote the understanding of issues of our common interest by developing “domestic outreach activities” in places outside of Tokyo.
